Meet Our Friendly Optometrists

Dr. Parveen Jaglan

Dr. Parveen Jaglan serves the communities of Smyrna and Locust Grove as a distinguished board-certified optometrist. Her academic journey began with three years of Applied Biology at Ferris State University, Michigan, followed by an exceptional early admission to the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. This admission came after three years of undergraduate study, a testament to her outstanding potential and dedication. Jaglan earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1996, supported by the Ramsey Clarence Scholarship.

Before making Smyrna, Georgia, her home in 2004, Dr. Jaglan enriched her professional experience in diverse settings across the United States, from Albany, New York, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Boston, Massachusetts. Before settling in Smyrna, her career spanned eight years, during which she encountered a broad spectrum of eye conditions. She gained invaluable experience in primary vision care, including significant work in communities such as the Brazilian population in Boston. Her expertise includes the treatment and management of pathological eye conditions in collaboration with ophthalmologists and a deep commitment to patient care.

In 2004, Dr. Jaglan acquired the well-established Eye Associates of Smyrna, a practice serving the community for over 20 years. She then extended her practice's reach by opening a second location, Eye Associates of Locust Grove, in 2006, further testament to her professional success and dedication to eye care.

Dr. Jaglan's passion for eye care runs in the family, with her husband being a Harvard-trained retinal ophthalmologist in his private practice, her brother-in-law an optometrist, and her father-in-law engaged in non-profit eye care missions across East Africa.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Jaglan is a devoted mother to two daughters and finds joy in playing tennis, participating in ALTA and USTA leagues whenever her schedule allows.
